Treating IBS In Miami Just Got Easier

It's quite possible that Miami locals who suffer from IBS are luckier than they may think. In a recent study, scientists have discovered that Vitamin D may be an important element in treating IBS. Scientists from University of Sheffield have found that 82% of IBS patients are vitamin D sufficient. Study leader Dr Bernard Corfe said: ‘Our work has shown that most IBS suffers in our trial had insufficient levels of vitamin D. ​ ‘There was an association between the Vitamin D status and the sufferer’s perceived quality of life, measured by the extent to which they reported impact on IBS on life.’ There are vitamin D receptors in the esophagus, stomach, and intestines.
