Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. Every year around 12 million people learn they have cancer, and the numbers continue to grow. The burning question is WHY?

Cancer has often been referred to as a 'disease', but in actuality it is a survival mechanism. Cancer occurs when the body becomes saturated with toxins from foods, pesticides, chemicals & from unhealthy lifestyle habits. Cancer is a symptom of a highly acidic body where cells are suffocating from a lack of oxygen and nutrients. The cells have to mutate in order to survive in this environment. These cell have to adapt to be able to make energy without the presence of oxygen. Why can't oxygen reach these cells? Because the capillaries are/or connective tissues surrounding the cells are full of harmful toxins that block the entrance of oxygen and nutrients into the cells. Because cancer cells are so nutrient and oxygen deprived, they love sugar, which supplies them with energy.

The food we eat will greatly influence our bodies acid/alkaline levels. The food we eat will also determine the degree of oxygen and nutrients that reach our cells. An important point to remember is that the consumption of Refined & Processed foods feeds cancer cells and tumors.

Farmed & Wild Fish: Fish tops the list of harmful food for 2021. Our oceans are toxic, and the fish absorb the mercury, pesticides, dioxins, PCBs and sewage that are dumped into our oceans daily. Fish store these toxins in their fat cells; the bigger the fish and the longer they live, the more toxic they are. Salmon, talapia, and cod are some of the most toxic foods people can eat. Whoever said that fish is healthy is LYING. According to Dr. David Carpenter, Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University of Albany, farmed salmon is a high-risk cancer food. Farmed fish pens are highly contaminated with fish feces, carcinogenic chemicals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), flame retardants, pesticides, and loads of antibiotics. Farmed fish are plagued by sea lice due to the overcrowding and lack of oxygen in the pens. Beware: wild salmon and tuna are also quite toxic as they have unsafe mercury levels. "Wild Norwegian salmon" is almost always a scam. Most "Norwegian" salmon are grown in overcrowded pools in Norway. I avoid all fish and have been doing so for years. I personally know many people who developed mercury poisoning from fish consumption, as well as recurring tumors from eating fish both farmed or "wild". Processed Meats: American Cancer Association: "Studies have linked eating large amounts of processed meats with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. This may be due to nitrites, which are added to many lunch meats, hams, hot dogs, and other processed meats. " Processed meats are full nitrites unless otherwise indicated. Nitrites are not a necessary ingredient. They are added to give meat a fresh red look. During the digestion process, sodium nitrite is converted to nitrosamine, Nitrosamine is a carcinogen. Most restaurants will not use more expensive nitrite free meats, so beware. Meat is also full of antibiotics which are given to poultry in huge amounts, and to cows as well to prevent infections. Consumption of non-organic meat and poultry can actually give us antibiotic resistant infections. Sugar: Most white Sugar is made from GMO sugar beets which are heavily sprayed with cancer causing pesticides. Brown sugar is often just white sugar sprayed with color. Additionally., sugar consumption causes high blood sugar levels in the body. Sugar directly feeds cancer cells and tumors, causing them to spread and grow. According to the USDA’s new Dietary Guidelines, we should be eating no more than 50 grams of sugar a day for optimal health. WHITE FLOUR- contains Bleaching chemicals such as azodicarbonamide which you might recall is the “yoga mat” additive. This plastic dough conditioner is used to make bread dough fluffier. According to the CSPI, the chemicals azodicarbonamide break down into after baking are recognized CARCINOGENS. Plus Refined flour causes major spikes in blood sugar, since its fiber content has been removed. (Natural Fiber prevents blood sugar highs). A study published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Mile Markers, and Prevention found that regular consumption of refined carbohydrates was linked to a 220 percent increase in breast cancer among women!

Potassium bromate (aka brominated flour): A key bulking ingredient, potassium bromate speeds up the bread-making process and cuts costs for manufacturers—and may be linked to kidney and nervous system disorders and gastrointestinal discomfort. Even worse bromides have been linked to cancer.

Canola oil: Over 90 percent of canola oil is genetically modified. Canola oil is a refined oil made from toxic rapeseeds. Canola is often partially hydrogenated (a major source of trans fats) to increase its stability. When heated at high heat (such as in fried foods), canola turns into trans fats and free radicals are formed. Rats fed canola oil developed heart and kidney damage. Tran fats are very toxic to the brain. They disrupt neuron signalling leading to memory loss, hyperactivity and learning disabilities. When we cook with canola it produces high levels of butadiene, benzene, acrolein, and formaldehyde. These chemical compounds create the perfect environment for cancer growth. Additionally, According to researchers, cancer cells feed on the oleic acid in canola oil. The acid causes the cancer cells to become stronger. Due to the high rate of free radicals released in canola oil after cooking, this oil is a trigger for cancer growth.

Soy products: 90% of the world's soy is GMO. Unless fermented carefully using traditional methods, soy contains high levels of phytoestrogens which can contribute to the development of BREAST CANCER, thyroid problems, calcium loss, male hormonal issues, and early development in girls. Infant soy formulas are laced with phytoestrogens.

Caramel Coloring: caramel color in brown beverages, candies and cereals, has been proven to increase the rate of cancerous and benign tumors in rats as shown by the National Toxicology Program and has been labeled by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as a possible carcinogen for humans.

Corn Syrup: It’s cheaper and sweeter than sugar, and it is much more quickly absorbed by the body. Eating too much high fructose corn syrup can lead to insulin resistance, obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and liver problems. Also cancer cells can quickly metabolize high fructose corn syrup in order to spread.

Artificial Colors pose cancer risk: Artificial colors are notorious for causing hyperactivity in children. Several studies have confirmed this. In fact 1 in 3 children with ADHD respond when food dyes are removed from their diet! Even the FDA had to admit that “Exposure to food and food components, including artificial food colors and preservatives, may be associated with adverse behaviors...." But food colors can cause a lot more than ADHD. Blue #1 (Brilliant Blue) which is found primarily in baked goods, beverages, and cereals caused kidney tumors in laboratory mice. Blue #2 (Indigo Carmine), a colorant in candies, pet food, and other items is Shown to cause brain tumors in rats. Green #3 (Fast Green) – found in many cosmetics, candy, and drugs, Increases tumors of the bladder and testes in male rats. Red #3 (Erythrosine) which colors maraschino cherries, baked goods, and candy. Banned by the FDA for causing thyroid tumors when used in externally applied cosmetics and topical drugs. Red #40 (Allura Red) is the most widely used dye found in cereals, desserts, drugs, and cosmetics. Accelerates immune system tumors in mice and triggers allergic reactions and hyperactivity in children. Yellow #5 (Tartrazine) – found in any number of baked goods, cereal, gelatin products, and dessert powders. Causes severe hypersensitivity and triggers hyperactivity disorders and other behavioral issues in children. Yellow #6 (Sunset Yellow) is Used in beverages, desserts, gelatin, and candy. It was found to cause adrenal tumors and trigger severe hyperactivity in children.

Sodas and Sugary Drinks: The American Diabetes Association issued a warning against sugary drinks. "Research has also shown that drinking sugary drinks is linked to type 2 diabetes.. The American Diabetes Association recommends that people avoid drinking sugar-sweetened beverages to help prevent type 2 diabetes. Polysorbate 60- a popular emulsifier Made of corn, palm oil, and petroleum. This is a sticky mixture that replaces dairy in baked goods. Potentially contaminated with 1,4 dioxane, a chemical which causes cancer in animals and could in humans as well, according to a study in Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology.

Polysorbate 80- This emulsifier is incredibly toxic. It is used in many diet foods and has been shown to cause cancer in mice. It is also linked to infertility, and many other health problems. Researchers at Georgia State University’s Institute for Biomedical Sciences found that mice that consumed dietary emulsifiers on a regular basis experienced exacerbated tumor development.For this study, researchers focused on two of the most commonly used emulsifiers called polysorbate 80 and (carboxymethyl)cellulose. They fed mice doses comparable to the cumulative amounts people would eat daily in processed foods. According to the researchers, these emulsifiers drastically changed the gut microflora in a manner that made it more pro-inflammatory, creating the perfect environment for cancer development. The bacteria in the gut began expressing more flagellin and lipopolysaccharide, which activate pro-inflammatory gene expression by the immune system.Personally, I avoid polysorbate 80 at all costs.

Non- Organic Apples, Grapes, and other 'dirty' fruits: While apples, grapes, and strawberries are certainly healthy antioxidant rich foods, they are also some of the most heavily sprayed fruits. Unless these fruits are organic or verified to be pesticide-free, they could be a major cancer risk. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) found that up to 98 percent of all conventional produce, and particularly the type found on its "dirty" fruits list, is contaminated with cancer-causing pesticides!
